Core Team

Jackie Kludt   Jackie Kludt, Owner and Creative Director

I started hacking up magazine layouts and re-doing them to make them work better in 5th grade. Who could have guessed that I’d go on to do it professionally? I’ve been making marketing materials look cool for over 20 years now, from Texas to Colorado, in virtually every medium. I’m glad to have worked with some great clients along the way, like Monarch Ski Resort, PRCA, Peoples National Bank, Centura Health, Compassion International, Cook Communications, MOPS International, and Every Home for Christ.

Larney Walker   Larney Walker, Conceptor and Creative Direction

Started my career at the Art Center College of Design in L.A. Then worked at the Richards Group in Dallas and BBDS in Chicago, and somehow racked up over 20 years of creative experience working with Amoco, Blaupunkt, General Motors – EMD, Ingersol-Rand, Mercantile Bank, Midwest Airlines, Motorola Cell Phones, Reformed Theological Seminary, Thrivent Financial, Target Stores and others. Won several shiny things along the way. See larney.carbonmade.com for more.

Alec Lawson   Alec Lawson, Conceptor and Copywriting

Reverse time warp… Connecticut: Worked on promotions for the ‘$5 footlong’ brand. Was a foot soldier in the cola wars developing print, radio, webisodes and promotions for Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Sierra Mist. Seattle round 2: Developed marketing materials for McDonald’s, Amtrak, Energy Star, and sadly, Microsoft (while managing numerous iTunes playlists). San Francisco: Partook in the dot-com boom with 3d0, MSG Network, ARC, and Avaya. Seattle round 1: Misty water-colored memories with Callaway Golf Apparel, Sprite, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. New York: TV for Pizza Hut, where I was thrown to the street. Hello, first recession of my career.

Mat Orefice   Mat Orefice, Conceptor and Copywriting

I’m a marketer trapped in a copywriter’s body. I have experience with over 2,500 brands, which may or may not be some sort of Guinness record. I am a highly specific generalist with immeasurable expertise from working with top companies, agencies and business leaders, including such multi-national brands as Diageo, Pepsi, Dove, HBO, PBS, McGraw-Hill, Frito-Lay, Discovery Channel, BBC, Pitney Bowes, Ricoh, Schick, Conair, Tetley—and a bunch of others. See wordplay.us for more.

Luke Flowers   Luke Flowers, Art Director and Illustrator

I was born and raised in Buena Vista, CO. I went to the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design for a BFA in Illustration. After spending the first decade of my creative career as Senior Designer and Illustrator for Young Life, I launched my own creative studio, Luke Flowers Creative. Now my days are spent in my creative cave working for brands like Young Life, Compassion, David C. Cook, Christian Camp and Conference Association, and countless local and national musicians. I am also a singer/songwriter who frequents various coffee venues around Colorado. Check out LukeFlowers.com for more.

Roger Heins   Roger Heins, Marketing and Brand Advisor

Over 40 years of professional marketing experience has taught me a lot—like when to be aggressive and when to be cautious with brand efforts. Just part of an invaluable package of insights I like to share with the youngsters on this team. I’ve had the titles: President, COO, Senior VP of Marketing, and I’ve worked in technology, agriculture, non-profit, and green industries to name a few. Now I serve as a certified life coach, marketing mentor, and grandfather…perhaps the best title I’ve ever had. And I can transplant a cow embryo. See RogerHeins.com for more.
